Who is Lambert?
Lambert Ringlage is busy in making Synthesizer-music since 1982 and did his first steps towards the publicity in 1988. He has released his first tape “Magic Moments” under his given name and he continued using “Lambert” as his artist name for further releases.
The origin of his musical doings go back to Rock’n Roll-music as he played drums and electric guitar.
Lambert discovered his preference for electronic music when he listened to the album “Stratos Fear” by “Tangerine Dream” for the first time. Several tracks have been influenced by the music of this band.
After Lambert has experienced the technical structure of synthesizers and the manual training on his own (learning by doing), he started to release cassettes and to give concerts. The success of his concert in April 1991 encouraged him to prepare his first Solo-CD. As well in 1991 the title “Light Sky” was presented on the “Syntonic Waves” Compilation-CD.
In October 1991 his CD-debut “Inside Out” has been finished.

In one of the biggest radio-programs in Europe that was dealing with electronic music “Schwingungen” by Winfrid Trenkler his music did get good resonance. Lambert has been voted by the listeners to the 2nd best Newcomer of the year. The reviews of various magazines confirm his success. Some titles are featured on different Sampler-CDs.
His second CD “Mirror Of Motions” has been published in October 1993. Many authors of articles about electronic music dared to compare him with “Tangerine Dream” and “Jean Michel Jarre”. The track “Fairy Land” turned out to be a popular title. In England the ED label published a “Best Of” Compilation from his early solo-tapes.
1993/94 a collaboration started with “Stephen Parsick”.
Encouraged by the success of the first “Essener Elektroniknacht” and the results of the Schwingungen vote a CD-release is planned for Summer 1995.
His third Solo-CD “Dimensions Of Dreams” has been released in march 1995.
The “Trancesession”- CD (this is the collaboration with Stephen Parsick) was published in October 1995. “Trancesession” did get many excellent reviews and has been voted to the best album of the year (CHRW Canadian radio station).
1996/97 Lambert concentrates on his label and the promotion. A Compilation CD, called “Colours”, is issued.
The CD-project ‘Lambert & Palantír – “Finis Terrae” has been released in 1997 and showed their inspiration of the breton environment.
The result of a colaboration with Stephen Parsick and Frank Makowski ended up in a CD: “RAMP” – “Nodular”.
Not really satisfied with this dark music, Lambert is searching for new ways of creating his music. In 1999 “Timeless Vision” is released. It shows again Lamberts and “Jiannis” preference for traditional analogue Electronic Music (it is a concert release from 1988).
In 1999 the Spheric Music Homepage goes online.
The following year Lambert gave three concerts together with guitarist and keyboard player Hardy in Germany, Netherlands and Italy. All were well received. The performances showed his latest muscial ideas he developed in colaboration with Hardy.
The “Essential” CD (2000) showed the most accessible tracks by Lambert so far.
“Pearls” is a re-issue of his cassette of 1990.
In 2001 Lambert is again concentrating on his label business. Several sampler contributions achieve Lamberts musical presence again.
Spheric Music Homepage is getting an Online Shop.
In 2002 Lambert was introduced to another Keyboarder Wolfgang Barkowski (aka Alien Nature). His dark ambient sounds add more exciting elements into the music. The result of their hypnotic music can be heard on their CD “Hypnosphere – Within The Whirl“, released in January 2003.
After that Lambert intensively worked for his label Spheric Music. In 2005 he presented the comeback of the well known sound artist Robert Schroeder, who in the following year installed a follow-up to the DOUBLE FANTASY project by releasing the “Food For Fantasy – the secret of dreamin‘ ” CD.
After some sampler contributions the CD “Hypnosphere – Magnetism” has been published in 2007. This album puts focus on the atmospheric-hypnotic side of Berlin School electronics.
After a long creative break two new albums followed one after another very quickly. “Hypnosphere – Timedrift” in 2014 with many typical elements of the Berlin School of the 70s. Many fans regard this as the best Hypnosphere album until 2014.
And finally after a break of 20 years, a new Solo album: Lambert – Drachenreise. At the Schallwelle election his new album has been voted as the 6th best album of the year.
The echo of the media is quite amazing:
“… to my view “Drachenreise” could be even regarded as an appropriate follow-up of the work of Edgar Froese…” (BabyBlaue Seiten)
“..a must for fans of Tangerine Dream. Beautiful melodies with sequencers and new electronic sounds.” (Keys and Chords)
“…(for) Fans of the Schmoelling/Haslinger eras of Tangerine Dream…” (Synth & Sequences)
“…du côté du “Chronologie” de notre Jean-Michel Jarre…” (Clair & Obscur)
“…voyagé la ou le temps n’existe plus…” (KR Home)
In 2023, a new solo CD Bon Courage will be released, an interesting mix of different styles of electronic music with beautiful sequences and exciting sounds. One track was created in collaboration with Johannes Schmoelling.
